THE LIFESAVER Activated Carbon Filter

The LIFESAVER bottle comes with 1 activated carbon filter...

but the activated carbon filter is not required in order for LIFESAVER's ultra filtration cartridge to function. It is an optional accessory that also reduces traces of chemical residues including pesticides, endocrine disrupting compounds, and heavy metals such as lead and copper.

The activated carbon filter helps eliminate bad tastes and odors from from contaminates such as chlorine and sulfur, which produces clearer and more neutral tasting water.

Each activated carbon filter can process approximately 250 liters of water or 66 gallons.

At an average use of 3 liters a day or .79 gallons the activated carbon filter will last approximately 2-/12 months before a replacement is recommended.
