Reverse Osmosis Systems

Reverse Osmosis Systems

Reverse osmosis is widely considered the most thorough water purification technology available for residential use. By forcing water through a semi-permeable membrane at the molecular level, RO systems remove up to 99% of dissolved contaminants — including lead, arsenic, nitrates, PFAS (forever chemicals), fluoride, chlorine, and hundreds of other impurities that standard filters simply can't touch.

Most under-sink reverse osmosis systems include 4–6 stages of filtration: a sediment pre-filter, carbon block filter, the RO membrane itself, a polishing carbon post-filter, and often a remineralization stage that adds beneficial minerals back to purified water. The result is crisp, clean water with a noticeably better taste — stored in a pressurized tank and dispensed through a dedicated faucet.

Modern RO systems have improved dramatically in water efficiency. Newer tankless and high-efficiency models waste far less water than older generations, making them a smart choice for eco-conscious households.

A reverse osmosis system is the right choice if your water contains high levels of dissolved solids (TDS), if you're on a private well, if you live in an area with agricultural runoff, or if your municipality has issued any water quality concerns.
